Plywood Price in Delhi: What Decides the Rate and How to Compare Quotes
Short answer: plywood rates in Delhi depend on the grade (MR, BWR, BWP), the thickness, the core and face (full core or alternate core, Gurjan or other faces), the brand and warranty, and the market that week. Two quotes for "18mm waterproof plywood" can be for very different sheets. Compare like with like, and ask for today's rate, because printed price lists go out of date quickly.

Why the same-sounding sheet has different prices

Rates are quoted either per sq ft or per sheet. To compare them, convert both to the same unit with the sq ft to sheet converter: an 8x4 sheet is 32 sq ft.
Buy by use, not by the lowest rate
Instead of chasing one "lowest rate", decide the grade by where the furniture goes:
- Kitchen cabinets: BWR, 18mm
- Sink cabinet and wet areas: BWP or WPC board
- Wardrobe body: 18mm (MR in a dry room, BWR on an outer wall or ground floor)
- Back panels: 6mm

Budget, mid-range and premium
- Budget: lower grade or boards without a verifiable ISI mark. Short-term saving, higher long-term risk.
- Mid-range: good BWR from a known brand for most of the house. The best value for most families.
- Premium: BWP and full-core sheets where water or load demand it.

Hidden costs to ask about
Many quotes leave out the items that go with the plywood. Ask for these separately:
- Laminate thickness and brand, plus liner for the inside
- Adhesive
- Edge band
- Hardware: hinges, channels, handles
- GST, transport and unloading
Leave these out and a "cheap" quote becomes expensive quickly.
Checklist before you pay
- Get the grade and thickness in writing.
- Ask for a GST bill with the brand.

- Match the hardware to the quality of the boards.
