Plywood Stamp Checker: IS 303, IS 710, ISI aur CM/L
Tell us what's printed on the sheet. You'll see what it means, anything that doesn't add up, and how to verify the ISI licence number yourself.
What the stamp says
IS 303: General purpose plywood. Under this standard the grades are MR (moisture resistant) and BWR (boiling water resistant).
Looks right
- ISI mark is printed.
- CM/L licence number is printed: verify it in the BIS Care app (steps below).
- IS 303 with BWR matches.
- GST bill with brand, grade and thickness: keep it, and photograph the stamp before laminate covers it.
How to verify the ISI licence (CM/L number)
- Install the official BIS Care app (Bureau of Indian Standards) on your phone.
- Open Verify Licence Details and type the CM/L number printed under the ISI mark.
- Check that the manufacturer, the product and the brand in the result match the sheet in front of you, and that the licence is active.
- No record, or details that don't match: treat the mark as doubtful and don't buy. The same app has a Complaints option.
Also check the edge for gaps in the core, the face for patches, and the thickness with a caliper. Full asli vs nakli checklist
