Door Material Calculator: Darwaze Mein Kya-Kya Lagega?
Enter the chaukhat (door frame) opening and where the door goes. You get the right type and thickness of door and a full material list: laminate or veneer, edge band, hinges, lock and tower bolts.
Suggested door
Solid core flush door, 30–32mm (MR; BWP if the wall is damp)
Dry rooms don't need waterproof glue. Solid core is heavier and quieter than hollow core, and holds hinges and locks better.

- Measure the chaukhat opening (inside the frame) at three places for width and three for height, and use the smallest. The carpenter trims the door to fit; don't let them cut much off the edges.
- Laminate or veneer goes on both sides of a door, or it can bend.
- Seal the top and bottom edges too, not just the faces.
- Hinges: 3 per leaf is the usual count for this door; heavy or tall doors get one more.
